Two cookies, both strictly necessary.

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to understand how visitors use a site. This policy explains the cookies we use on boardverse.ai, why we use them, and how you can control them.

This site sets one cookie when you visit it, and it is a security cookie. Cloudflare, which serves and protects the site, uses it to record that your browser passed an automated check for bot traffic. It records only that the check passed. It is tied to your browser and device so that it cannot be reused on another machine. It does not tell us who you are, and it is not used to measure what you read or to advertise to you. Because it exists only to keep the site secure, the law does not ask for your consent to it, and no banner is shown. The platform sets one cookie of its own, to keep you signed in. The table below is the complete list.

We use Cloudflare to serve and protect the site. Its bot protection runs a short check in your browser on each page you open, to tell a person's browser from an automated program, and stores the outcome in a cookie named cf_clearance. The check itself is refreshed about every fifteen minutes while you browse. The cookie that carries its result is issued for one year, a period set by Cloudflare. It is marked HttpOnly, so no script on the page can read it, and Secure, so it only travels over an encrypted connection. Cloudflare sets it on our behalf and uses it to protect this site against automated traffic; our own code does not read it. You can delete it in your browser settings at any time. If you do, the check simply runs again on your next visit. Its analytics, described below, stores nothing at all.

Our forms add one thing. Before a message or a Readiness Diagnostic is accepted, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that it was sent by a person rather than a program. The check runs in a frame that belongs to Cloudflare, not to this site. It sets no cookie on boardverse.ai and writes nothing to this site's storage; we measured that after the check had run. Anything the check keeps inside its own frame belongs to challenges.cloudflare.com, lasts only as long as the check, and is used for nothing but the check. Turnstile does not read what you type into the form. What it collects, and why, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

The Readiness Diagnostic stores nothing on your device. Your answers are saved on our servers as you give them, never in your browser, and the private link that reaches them lives in the address bar and nowhere else. Nothing about the diagnostic is written to a cookie or to your browser's storage.

An essential cookie is one the Service cannot work without, and the law does not require your consent for it. The regulations call it strictly necessary, which is the term the table above uses. There are two. The first belongs to the platform. It keeps you signed in, and without it the platform has no way to know who you are between one page and the next. The second is cf_clearance, which Cloudflare sets on this site on our behalf to protect it from automated traffic.

Both are marked HttpOnly, so no script running in the page can read them, and Secure, so they only travel over an encrypted connection.

We do not measure how you use this site. No analytics script runs on these pages. Nothing counts which pages you read, how long you spend on them, or where you arrived from.

Our hosting provider counts requests to its servers as part of delivering the site, in the same way any web server keeps a log. That happens whether or not you visit this page, and it stores nothing on your device.

We do not use Google Analytics or any other analytics service, and we do not share data about you with advertisers.

There is no cookie banner on this site, because there is nothing here that needs your consent. The two cookies described above, one that keeps you signed in to the platform and one that protects this site from automated traffic, are ones the law treats as strictly necessary. The bot check on the contact page is a security measure the form cannot work without, and the law treats it the same way. The exception for what is strictly necessary is at paragraph 4 of Schedule A1 to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003.

The preference we store is your language. It stays in your browser until it is cleared, which is why it does not count as strictly necessary. The law lets a site remember a preference about how it appears without asking, provided it tells you and gives you a simple, free way to object. That exception is at paragraph 6 of the same Schedule.

The way to object is "Do not remember my language", at the foot of every page, this one included. It costs nothing and needs no account. It takes effect at once, anything already remembered is forgotten, and you can reverse it in the same place. You have asked the site to remember nothing about your language, and that includes remembering that you dismissed the bar that offers you a page in your own language. The bar would come back on every page, which is why it is not shown while the control is off. The language links stay, so you can always change language.

One thing is kept after you object, which is a record that you did. It is kept for one purpose, which is to honour your objection, on this visit and on later ones. It holds the word off, says nothing about which language you read, and stays on that browser until you reverse it or clear your browser storage. A record that lapsed would mean the site started remembering you again without asking. The law treats a record of a selection you made on a site as strictly necessary for this purpose, at paragraph 4(2)(e)(ii) of the same Schedule.

The control needs JavaScript. Where scripts are off, or your browser refuses storage, it is not shown, because in both cases nothing is remembered and there is nothing to switch off.

If any of this changes, we will ask you properly before setting anything that requires consent, and this page will say so.

Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies through their settings. The "Help" function in your browser will explain how. Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies may stop parts of the Service from working properly.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in the law. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

20th of September 2026. Until this date the policy said that this site set no cookies and stored nothing on your device. That was wrong. Cloudflare's bot protection sets one security cookie, cf_clearance, on an ordinary visit, and it lasts for one year. We found it by checking a fresh browser against our own policy, and we have corrected the policy to describe it. Nothing about what the site does changed on this date. Only the description did.

21st of September 2026. Until this date the only way to stop this site remembering your language was your browser's own settings, and the policy did not offer another. The site now carries a control of its own, "Do not remember my language", at the foot of every page, and the section "Consent, and how to object" describes it.
