Most founders find out how thin their board record is when a buyer asks for it. Boardverse keeps it as you go, signed by a second person and ready to hand over. We started it to back founders with money and experience.
The record
Built on operating responsibility
The product was not designed by people watching AI from the outside. It was built by an operator who has had to answer for a decision, not just suggest one.
Michael has spent more than thirty-five years building, scaling and exiting firms where confidentiality, quality and client trust were the product. That record shaped the discipline that lives inside every confirmation gate, dual sign-off and audit trail in Boardverse today.
He co-founded Spindrift, a digital agency and software company that built for Tesco, Canon, Kingfisher Group and T-Mobile, and sold it to Publicis Groupe in 2014.
The same discipline was applied to the firm's own operating record: risk, actions, resolutions and decisions logged as they happen, not reconstructed afterwards.
Boardverse is not built on hype. It is built on operating judgement. We designed a platform we would want our own leadership team to rely on, one that protects quality, client trust and internal clarity the way a real board needs them protected.

Every method Boardverse encodes, ready-to-sign risk register, structured financial review, dual sign-off on resolutions, governed AI use with citations on every claim, has first been tested on the firm's own operating record.
That includes the way Boardverse itself was built: every model release, every schema change, every decision about what AI is allowed to surface, logged and signed before it reached a customer.
Boardverse does not ask a leadership team to adopt a level of discipline the team behind it has not already run on its own work.

In organisations where confidentiality, quality and client trust are the product, governance is not a compliance exercise bolted on at the end. It is the discipline that lets leadership say, with evidence, what was decided, why, and by whom.
Every entry provisional until a named person confirms it, every confirmation written to an audit trail that can be handed to anyone who asks.
That is the standard Boardverse holds itself to, and the standard it holds every module to.

Every decision in Boardverse needs a second person before it counts. We are building Boardverse to the same rule.
Cite it or leave it out
We make no claim we cannot point to. Poseidon shows a source for every point it makes, and our sales material carries no invented numbers. If we cannot evidence it yet, we say so.
The record belongs to the company
Your board packs and signed resolutions are yours. Take them at any time, at no extra cost. We keep customers by being useful, never by holding their data.
Plain words
A chair should not need a glossary to read their own board record. If a non-executive director cannot follow something we have written, we rewrite it.
Prices in the open
Governed is priced per company on our website, with five seats included and no usage fees. The price you see is the price on your invoice.

Origin
What would Ian say?
Four of us founded Spindrift in 2007, Keith Hurley and Ian Osborne among them. We sold to Publicis Groupe in 2014, and I exited in 2018. Ian passed away in January 2026.
Ian gave his time to founders in a way very few people do, and he mentored a long list of them. Several have since exited businesses of their own.
Among that group there is a question that comes up whenever a decision is hard: what would Ian say, or what would Ian do. Quite a few of us still fly that flag.
What he did better than anyone I have worked with was see a risk while it was still ambiguous, before it had a name or a line in a report. He would ask the question the room had been avoiding, and the room would recognise that it had been avoiding it.
Ask Poseidon exists because of him. The roadmap for it runs in the same direction: surface the question a leadership team has not thought to ask, early enough that asking it still changes the outcome.
Boardverse is here so that founders, operators and leadership teams can make decisions they will not regret later, with the evidence recorded as they make them and a named person accountable for each one. Ian did that for people one conversation at a time.
